Simula Research Laboratory & University of Oslo, Norway

Kent-Andre Mardal is a Professor at the University of Oslo and Scientific Researcher at Simula Research Laboratory  (20%). His scientific interests include finite element methods, efficient solution algorithms, programming techniques for scientific computing, computational mechanics, blood flow in cerebral aneurysms, and cerebrospinal fluid flow in association with the Chiari I malformation, syringomyelia, and hydrocephalus.

Marie E. Rognes
Simula Research Laboratory, Norway

Marie E Rognes is a Chief Research Scientist/Research Professor at Simula Research Laboratory. Her interests revolve around numerical methods for partial differential equations, in particular the analysis and implementation of structure- and property-preserving discretizations such as mixed finite element methods with applications in cerebral fluid flow and transport across spatial scales. She has been a core team member of the FEniCS Project since 2007 and is a co-founder of the Dolfin-adjoint project.
