Marianne Schmid Daners heads the institute’s Biomedical Systems Group as a senior scientist. At the interdisciplinary interface of clinical research and engineering, the pathophysiologic understanding of the dynamics of the intracranial and cardiovascular system is her passion. Her research focuses on the modelling, control and testing of biological systems as well as on the development and control of biomedical devices for the treatment of heart failure and hydrocephalus.

Malisa Sarntinoranont‘s research is driven by a vision to develop engineering tools for patient-specific drug therapy. Her lab is developing image-based computational models that predict flows and transport within the brain, spinal cord, tumors and bioreactors.
